Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans team up in the upcoming movie “Red One,” where they embark on a search for Santa Claus.

In the first trailer for their upcoming Christmas movie Red One, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans find themselves entangled in a series of unconventional holiday hurdles as they embark on their festive adventure.

Jake Kasdan is set to direct an action-comedy film produced by Amazon MGM Studios, titled “Red One.” The movie is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 15th. The plot revolves around the North Pole head of security, Callum Drift, portrayed by Dwayne Johnson, and the naughty-lister, Jack O’Malley, played by Chris Evans. The two characters team up to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Santa Claus, known as “Red One” in the movie, portrayed by J.K. Simmons. The trailer features Evans’ character asking, “Are you saying Santa Claus has been kidnapped?”

In addition to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the cast of “Red One” features Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll, and Bonnie Hunt as Mrs. Claus. A teaser poster for the film was recently unveiled on Instagram, hinting at the storyline by featuring a “Missing” poster for Santa Claus, with a caption signed by Callum Drift asking for help to find him. The movie, directed by Jake Kasdan from a script by Chris Morgan, was based on an idea from Hiram Garcia, the president of production at Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions. The producers on board include Garcia, Johnson, Kasdan, Morgan, Dany Garcia, and Melvin Mar.

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas earlier this year, Amazon MGM Studios treated attendees to an exclusive 30-minute sneak peek of the upcoming film “Red One.” However, they requested that those present refrain from sharing any specific plot details.

Dwayne Johnson, known for his recent roles in “Red Notice” and “Black Adam,” is slated to lend his voice to a character in “Moana 2” and to star in the biopic “The Smashing Machine.” As for Chris Evans, he has recently appeared in “Ghosted” and “Pain Hustlers,” and has upcoming projects such as director Ethan Coen’s ensemble comedy “Honey Don’t!”
