Scott Reeves is set to make a comeback on the soap opera General Hospital on October 24, reprising his role as Steven Webber after an 11-year absence. Reeves expressed his amusement at his character’s parole, joking, “I wondered how long it was going to take before Steven was paroled.”
Returning to the set in Port Charles felt like coming home for Reeves, who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He mentioned that it felt surreal driving up to Prospect Studios and passing through the guard gate, as if he had just left a week ago. Reeves also shared a heartwarming reunion with Rick Hearst, who played Ric Lansing on the show, and reminisced about their enduring friendship.
As he walked through the familiar halls of the studio, Reeves found the experience both surreal and bittersweet, noting the changes that had taken place over the past 11 years. Despite the passage of time and the changes that come with it, his return to the set brought back memories and a sense of nostalgia.
Actor Reeves recently made a return to the soap opera General Hospital, reminiscing about the cast and crew who had passed away since his last appearance. He described slipping back into character as “like riding a bike,” as his character Steven had been living in Sedona, Arizona, trying to start over after being released from prison. Reeves also shared his experience working with Alley Mills and reuniting with Rebecca Herbst on set. He also spent time catching up with his longtime friend and co-star Steve Burton in between scenes. Reeves expressed his joy at being able to share the experience with his wife Melissa Reeves, who was filming for Days of Our Lives at the same time.
Reeves expressed his deep enjoyment at being back on the set and conveyed his eagerness for another opportunity to return. He enthusiastically shared, “I told Frank [Valentini, executive producer], ‘I forgot how much I loved it…’ I’ve been doing other things, but this was like putting on a really, really comfortable pair of jeans. It was so comforting to get to work with everybody again and fall back into the lives of those characters. I would be totally open to coming back because I think there’s so much potential with Steven. Anytime they want me back, I’m there.”
