Jeremy Clarkson recently reminisced on his 22-year career alongside Richard Hammond and James May, reflecting on their experiences on shows like Top Gear and The Grand Tour. During a London event for the final episode of The Grand Tour, Clarkson shared some behind-the-scenes insights, debunking assumptions about their adventures. He emphasized that unlike some TV personalities, they genuinely endured the challenges depicted on screen, without any luxury accommodations or staged events.
Clarkson recalled a particularly tough night in the Himalayas, highlighting the extreme conditions they faced. He described how they camped in severely cold weather, using flimsy sleeping bags and makeshift pillows, which left them sleep-deprived and uncomfortable. Despite these hardships, Clarkson expressed pride in authentically living through the chaos portrayed on their shows.
Following the conclusion of The Grand Tour, Clarkson has found success with his series Clarkson’s Farm, which documents his experiences running a 1000-acre farm. This venture has expanded his business empire, leading him to purchase a Cotswolds pub and develop a new series about this endeavor. Furthermore, the final episode of The Grand Tour, titled “One for The Road,” is set to air on Prime Video on Friday, September 13th.
