We have a Ghost Plot Explained: How does the ghost know about his past and leave the world?

This story starts with one very abandoned house built in the early 1900’s. None of the people live there as they are scared of the ghost in the house. After one year real estate sold this house to the Presley Family at a low price.  In this family, Frank Presley is head of the family, his wife Melanie, and 2 sons – Fulton and Kevin Presley. Frank faces financial challenges, likely contributing to the family’s decision to purchase a cheap, abandoned house.

In the night Kevin hears some noise from the storehouse and he goes and checks with this mobile phone light. After some time he finds there is a ghost who is behind him and trying to scare Kevin but he takes a video recording of the ghost and laughs at the ghost’s act. Ghost became angry and left.

In the school, Kevin meets with a girl named Joy and she is his neighbour. After that, they become a nice friend. Kevin again tries to meet the ghost and communicate with the ghost but he finds that the ghost cannot speak. He has no memory of his past life. Kevin names the ghost “Ernest” based on the name written on the ghost’s shirt. Kevin helps him to find his past.

After a few days, Kevin’s elder brother tries to fetch his phone and find out the ghost video and his father gets to know about the video. Meanwhile, his father, Frank, sees an opportunity for fame and fortune. He uploads the video of Ernest on YouTube, hoping it will make them famous.

The video went viral and the Presley became more famous. Dr. Leslie who is a Paranormal activity researcher saw the video and planned to catch the ghost with the help of the CIA.

At school, Kevin befriends his neighbour, Joy. Together, they uncover a photo of Ernest posing with a previous house owner named Ernest S.. As Ernest has flashbacks of his daughter, they learn more about his past. Enter Dr. Leslie Monroe, a horror writer who once ran a CIA program for capturing ghosts. She breaks into the Presley home with several FBI agents to capture Ernest. However, Kevin, Joy, and Ernest have already left to find Ernest S. in Oklahoma.

In Oklahoma, Ernest S. identifies the ghost as Randy. According to Ernest S., after Randy’s wife died, Randy left his daughter, June, with Ernest S. and disappeared. The CIA arrives in Oklahoma and captures Randy. But Randy has a flashback of being killed by Ernest S., and Dr. Monroe sets him free.

Meanwhile, Ernest S. arrives at the Presley house to kill Kevin, believing Kevin is avenging Randy’s murder. Ernest S. reveals a shocking truth: his wife is infertile, and they murdered Randy to take June for themselves. The climax unfolds in the attic, where Frank tackles Ernest S. out the window. Kevin and Frank reunite Randy with June, and Randy moves on to the afterlife after a heartwarming goodbye to Kevin.

As Kevin and Joy become a couple, the Presleys prepare to move to a different house. Before leaving, Kevin wonders if Randy can still see them from wherever he is. A flickering light in the attic hints at Randy’s presence, perhaps saying goodbye and thank you
