The TV show “Power Book II Ghost” will end after its fourth season.

Starz, the premium cable network, recently announced their plans to conclude the second series in the Power franchise with its fourth season. This news comes just a day after Starz unveiled a new prequel series that will explore the early years of the iconic Ghost and Tommy characters, played by Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora respectively. The prequel series will delve into the origins of these two beloved characters, providing fans with a deeper understanding of their motivations and backstories. While the conclusion of the second series may be bittersweet for fans, the new prequel series is sure to be an exciting addition to the Power franchise.

Starz has announced that the highly anticipated final season of the popular series “Power Book II: Ghost” will be split into two parts. The first half of the season will premiere on Friday, June 7, while the second half is set to start on Friday, Sept. 6. This decision was made to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the debut of the flagship series in the Power franchise.

Kathryn Busby, the president of programming at Starz, has expressed her excitement for the explosive season of “Ghost,” saying that it is a fitting crescendo in a decade of an immensely popular franchise. She also reassured fans that while this marks the conclusion of one chapter, the commitment to the Power universe endures with more compelling storytelling on the horizon.

The Power series, which was launched in 2014, concluded in 2020 after six seasons and more than 60 episodes. The franchise has since expanded to include “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” (which is now in production on season four) and the Sikora-led “Power Book IV: Force” (season three is in the works).

Executive producers Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson have played a crucial role in the success of the Power franchise. Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the final season of “Power Book II: Ghost” and can expect a thrilling and satisfying conclusion to this beloved show.

Starz has announced that it will not be moving forward with the development of Influence as the fourth spinoff in the Power franchise. This announcement comes after previous attempts to develop the spinoff were unsuccessful. However, Starz has promised that additional news in the Power franchise will be forthcoming as the premium cable network prepares to split off from its current ownership, Lionsgate.

The Power franchise is produced by Lionsgate Television, and it was created by Courtney Kemp. Kemp had an overall deal with Lionsgate, but she has since departed the studio for a rich pact with Netflix. Despite her departure, she remains credited as an executive producer of the franchise.

The latest spinoff in the Power franchise, Ghost, is currently airing on Starz. The show is being helmed by showrunner Brett Mahoney, who previously worked on the hit show Empire. The cast includes Michael Rainey Jr. in the lead role, along with Mary J. Blige, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri, Larenz Tate, Caroline Chikezie, Lightskinkeisha, and Michael Ealy.

It has been reported that Michael Rainey Jr. learned about the cancellation of Ghost from the press. Despite this setback, fans of the Power franchise can look forward to more news and developments as Starz prepares to take the franchise in a new direction.
