Selena Gomez’s Instagram post ‘Never Be A Meme Again’ after her reaction to viral VMA footage.

Recently MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARD on Tuesdays there is a footage that spread viral about Selene Gomez’s reactions.

Actually, Selena Gomez appeared to make her feelings about Chris Brown very clear at Tuesday night’s VMAs.

Footage of the 31-year-old Wolves singer reacting to 34-year-old Chris’ name being read out during his VMA nomination has gone viral, with plenty of Twitter users throwing their support behind Selena.

The “Calm Down” singer was all smiles at the ceremony after winning in the Best Afrobeats category alongside Nigerian artist Rema — and being cheered on by longtime bestie Taylor Swift — but left the Prudential Center in New Jersey to find herself the unwitting face of several viral social media moments.

The former Disney star seemingly scrunched up her face when Chris’ name was said aloud in the best r&b category for his feature on How Does It Feel by Chlöe.

Chris missed out on the award, with the gong going to SZA for Shirt.

After many comments on Selena Gomez, she appeared to address the hearsay on social media in the early hours of Wednesday morning, writing on Instagram stories: ‘I will never be a meme again. I’d rather sit still than be dragged for being myself.’

Gomez didn’t elaborate on the matter, but presumably alluded to widespread images of her reactions at the ceremony proliferating online. Footage of the singer covering her ears during Olivia Rodrigo’s performance, for instance, racked up nearly 100,000 likes.

Rema and Gomez broke a Spotify record for first African artist-let track to hit 1 billion streams.

Gomez, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018, has been very open about the negative mental health effects of social media. She took several breaks from her online presence over the years, and asked users to be kinder earlier this year.

The singer was all smiles while accepting a VMA, however, and stunned in a lacy red Oscar de la Renta dress while celebrating her and Rema’s win for “Calm Down” — the first African artist-led track to hit 1 billion Spotify streams — and thanked her fans in a genuine speech.

“Thank you for believing in me,” she told Rema onstage.

“And thank you for choosing me to be a part of such an incredible song that’s been able to break records,” she continued. “Thank you to all of you for listening, for streaming. I could not be more honored. And I wanna send all my love to Nigeria.”
