Kate Winslet Stars in Riveting Crime Series ‘The Spot’ Premiering Soon on Hulu.

Kate Winslet is set to star in and executive produce a compelling new crime drama series exclusively for Hulu, titled “The Spot.” The series, created and led by Ed Solomon, known for his work on “Men in Black” and “No Sudden Move,” was given a straight-to-series order by Hulu in a highly competitive selection process. Ed Solomon will not only handle the role of creator and showrunner but also contribute as a writer and executive producer for the series. Additionally, Kate Winslet, who will be serving as an executive producer for Juggle Productions, and A24, the lead studio, will also be joining as executive producers. This co-production with 20th Television promises to deliver an intense and intriguing storyline.

“The Spot” unfolds a gripping narrative following a successful surgeon and her schoolteacher husband, who come to suspect her involvement in a child’s hit-and-run death. As they delve deeper, their relentless pursuit of the truth plunges them into a labyrinth of mounting suspicion and concealed secrets, ultimately putting their resolve and relationship to the ultimate test, as they grapple with the unsettling prospect of hidden guilt and betrayal.

Kate Winslet, renowned for her recent role as Chancellor Elena Vernham in HBO’s “The Regime,” is set to captivate audiences once again. Notably, she has also been announced to star in an upcoming HBO series titled “Trust,” currently in development with writer, director, and executive producer Todd Haynes, with whom Winslet previously collaborated on HBO’s 2011 miniseries “Mildred Pierce,” based on James M. Cain’s novel.

Kate Winslet, known for her roles in iconic films such as “Titanic,” “Revolutionary Road,” “Sense and Sensibility,” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” has garnered acclaim for her work, receiving four Emmy nominations and winning twice. In 2021, she won the award for outstanding lead actress in a limited or anthology series or movie for her performance in “Mare of Easttown,” and previously won in 2011 for her role in “Mildred Pierce.”

Additionally, Charles Leavitt Solomon, who has writing credits on notable films such as “Men in Black,” “Full Circle,” and “No Sudden Move,” has also contributed to “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” “Levity,” “Now You See Me,” and its sequel, as well as “Mosaic,” among others.

Kate Winslet is currently represented by CAA and United Agents in the U.K., while Charles Leavitt Solomon is represented by CAA.
