Jennifer Lopez is giving fans the best gift this Black Friday, announcing that she is releasing a new album. The announcement comes on the 20th anniversary of the release of This Is Me in 2002… That’s why. Jenny from The Block’s new album aptly titled This Is Me… Now.
In the teaser, Lopez uses her This Is Me… Then, the work of art to transform into a modern version of himself. His new album will be released in 2023. This Is Me … Now is the first album written and produced by Lopez since he worked on This Is Me … Then, his third studio album was released exactly twenty years ago. Although he released singles from the hit single Marry Me earlier this year, his last album was released in 2014 on AK.
Last year, Lopez told Vogue what her fans could expect from her new tour.
“This album is the most honest thing I’ve ever done, the culmination of who I am as a person and an artist,” he said. “People think they know something about what happened to me along the way – but they really don’t, and they’re often wrong. The new album promises to chronicle “the emotional, spiritual and spiritual journey he has been on for the past two decades”. It’s me… Now aims to be “an emotionally charged and honest work unlike anything he’s produced before”. These songs show that this new album is inspired by life experiences that he hopes will resonate with his fans around the world.
The new album – peppered with confessional songs, thoughts on past trials and upbeat celebration of love with his signature vocal – will lend itself to another “very personal project” to be revealed later this year. His personal project will also reflect “his difficult childhood, his dysfunctional relationships and his incredible emotional journey”.

Lopez was dating Ben Affleck during the production of This Is Me… Then she handed over the album to him when it was released. This album includes songs like “Jenny from the Block”, “All I Have”, “I’m Happy” and “Baby I Love U”. The album reached number two on the Billboard Hot 200 and sold over six million copies worldwide.
“Baby I Love U” and “I’m Happy” were from her relationship with Affleck at the time. The high-profile relationship ended when they called off their engagement in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021, got engaged in April and held a private wedding in Las Vegas before hosting a big three-day engagement in Georgia.
