Peter Dinklage recently expressed his desire for a wider release of the film “The Toxic Avenger” and conveyed his excitement for the project. The actor, famed for his role in “Game of Thrones,” mentioned in an interview with ComicBook that the film was well-received at Fantastic Fest in Austin and he is keen for it to reach a larger audience. Despite not having a producer credit on the film, Dinklage commended the writer/director, Macon Blair, and spoke highly of his work.

“The Toxic Avenger” had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2023 and is a reinterpretation of the classic Troma film by Legendary Pictures. Featuring Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon, the film offers a blend of humor and action.

The plot centers around the evolution of a mild-mannered janitor named Melvin into the mutant hero Toxie after an exposure to radioactive toxic waste. This reimagined iteration of the original 1984 film provides a fresh perspective on the iconic character, renowned for taking a stand against bullies and corruption with unwavering determination.

The original “The Toxic Avenger” movie has a rich legacy, which includes three sequel films, a stage musical, a children’s TV series, and a Marvel comic, demonstrating the enduring appeal of the character and the story.
