At the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, the stars of the 2023 raunchy dramedy, Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan, were seen together on the red carpet. Both actors, who had previously worked together on “Saltburn,” attended the festival to promote separate projects. During the event, the Euphoria star, Jacob Elordi, and the Banshees of Inisherin actor, Barry Keoghan, exuded a playful and flirtatious vibe similar to their chemistry while promoting “Saltburn.”
They were photographed together at Variety’s TIFF Step & Repeat, posing in nearly identical button-up tops. The 27-year-old Elordi was seen smiling and wrapping his arm around Keoghan, who flashed a peace sign. Meanwhile, Elordi celebrated the premiere of his movie “On Swift Horses” by posing with his co-stars, including Daniel Minahan, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sasha Calle, Diego Calva, and Will Poulter. On the other hand, Keoghan attended the premiere of his drama film “Bird” with his co-star Nykiya Adams.
“Saltburn,” a film that quickly gained attention for its eyebrow-raising moments and was directed by Emerald Fennell, follows the story of Oliver (played by Keoghan), who is invited to the lavish family estate of his Oxford University classmate Felix (played by Elordi) for the 2007 summer holiday.
The bathtub scene in which Felix, played by Elordi, experiences a moment of solo intimacy, caught the attention of both Elordi and Keoghan. When Jimmy Fallon asked Elordi about the candles on The Tonight Show, Elordi humorously inquired about the profits, jokingly saying, “Great, where’s my money?” After giving one of the candles a sniff, he described it as smelling like a washing room, reminiscent of detergent.
Keoghan also reacted comically to the viral candle, playfully claiming to own 10 of them and mentioning that they were all currently burning in his house. Their close bond on the set of Saltburn was evident, with Keoghan describing Elordi as “like a brother” to him in an interview with GQ. Additionally, Keoghan candidly discussed their off-screen flirtatiousness, explaining that their comfort with each other allowed them to be as close as they wanted, emphasizing the need for self-assuredness after filming intimate scenes together.
