Hayley Atwell, who reprises her role as Grace in Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, recently shared the “hairy” moment when a wild polar bear decided to investigate the film’s Arctic set.
“The hairiest thing was coming into close proximity with a polar bear who visited the boat we were staying on,” Atwell revealed. “He was very curious, but thankfully for us, looked well fed. He looked majestic.”
While the encounter was breathtaking, it was also a stark reminder of the real dangers of filming in one of the most extreme environments on Earth.

“In Dead Reckoning, Grace was a lone wolf, out for herself and distrustful of others,” Atwell explained. “Now, she’s emotionally attached to her friends and has a purpose bigger than personal ambition. But she’s still in over her head—which gets her into sticky situations.”
