The new trailer for Sweetpea, featuring Ella Purnell, has been released, and it promises a thrilling and gory experience for viewers. The teaser introduces Rhiannon, a reserved young woman who maintains a list of people who have made her feel invisible. When she reaches her breaking point, the once innocent list transforms into a full-fledged kill list.
This limited eight-part series is based on Kirstie Swain’s novel of the same name. According to the official synopsis, Rhiannon has managed to escape her infamous childhood and lead a peaceful life as an office manager, living with her boyfriend and dog. However, a chance encounter with a stranger threatens to unravel the tranquility of her new life.
The cast features talented actors such as Nicole Lecky, Jon Pointing, Calam Lynch, Leah Harvey, Jeremy Swift, Dustin Demri-Burns, and Luke McGibney.
Purnell described the process of creating the show as a “new and challenging experience,” highlighting Sweetpea as her first venture into both starring and executive-producing a project (via MovieWeb). Additionally, the actor is currently involved in filming The Scurry, a comedy-horror production centered around a group of killer squirrels that prey on unsuspecting individuals in a park.
The filming for season 2 of Fallout is scheduled to commence in the near future. Sweetpea is slated to debut on October 10 on Sky Atlantic and Now TV in the UK, as well as on Starz in the US.
