An entity linked to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has bought a historic 46-acre estate outside Atlanta. A company based in Georgia and connected to Mr. Johnson’s business managers in Los Angeles purchased the equestrian home in Powder Springs, a small town, for about $9.5 million according to public records of property. Mr. Johnson, 47, who was once a professional wrestler and is now an actor and producer, couldn’t be reached for comment. The sprawling property with several parcels has at its center a 14,000 square foot mansion with eight bedrooms—enough space for Mr. Johnson’s family of five.
The main house, built in 2002, is a stunning example of French country architecture. With partial brick and stone cladding on the exterior, large casement windows and rustic interiors with exposed wood and stone throughout, the home is both cozy and luxurious. The backyard features a freeform, salt-water pool and cabana, perfect for entertaining guests.
The Johnson’s are the proud new owners of a fully outfitted horse farm complete with a 12-stall barn and riding arena with a viewing deck. The property also features an original 150-year-old farm house, which now serves as a caretaker’s cottage. The purchase comes a few months after the “Fast and the Furious” star married his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, in Hawaii. The deal also comes on the heels of an announcement in September that Mr. Johnson and Dany Garcia, his business partner and ex-wife, plan to host an inaugural fitness conference, called Atheticon, in Atlanta in October 2020.
