After the tremendous success of Smile, which became the highest-grossing horror movie of 2022 with a whopping $217 million at the box office, fans have been eagerly anticipating the sequel. Their wishes were granted when Smile 2 was officially announced to be in production in March 2023, with a scheduled release next month. To tease fans, a new trailer was released today, offering a comprehensive look at the film.
The upcoming Smile 2 stars Naomi Scott as pop sensation Skye Riley, and it seems to be even more ambitious than its predecessor, promising another blood-soaked thrill ride. The plot revolves around Scott’s character being stalked by the same demonic entity that haunted Sosie Bacon in the first movie.
