Actor Stephen Oyoung, known for his work in “Twisters,” has been confirmed as the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming eighth installment of the Mission: Impossible film series. Paramount Pictures and Skydance have kept details about the plot and Oyoung’s role tightly under wraps. The film is a sequel to the successful “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning,” which earned over $567 million globally and received Oscar nominations for Best Sound and Visual Effects.
The popular “Mission: Impossible” film franchise revolves around the daring exploits of Ethan Hunt, portrayed by Tom Cruise, and his team of Impossible Missions Force agents as they embark on high-stakes, globe-trotting missions to prevent global catastrophes. The forthcoming eighth installment in the franchise will see the return of familiar faces including Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and others, as well as the introduction of new cast members such as Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, and more.
Renowned filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie has taken the reins once again as the director, working from his own script for the movie.
