Fans of the trio are eagerly looking forward to seeing their performances on screen, and we can’t wait to see what the creative minds behind this exciting new series have in store for us.
In a recent interview, actor Jon Hamm revealed that the production of the upcoming TV series, created by Taylor Sheridan, is already halfway through. Hamm also shared that the show’s script is exceptionally well-written and well-researched, which is a testament to the quality of the production. The series has already generated considerable buzz among fans, and with an experienced team behind it, it is sure to be a hit.
Landman is a highly anticipated upcoming project by Sheridan on Paramount+. The project includes several popular spinoffs, including 1883, 1923, and Special Ops: Lioness. Sheridan’s flagship show, Yellowstone, is currently filming its final season. Besides these shows, the creator has also been working on new projects such as Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves.
The new drama series is based on Boomtown, an 11-part podcast and is expected to be an exciting addition to the list of shows by Sheridan. The show’s storyline is centered around the theme of an “upstairs/downstairs” story and follows the lives of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires who are fueling an oil boom that is so colossal that it is reshaping the climate, the economy, and the geopolitics of the world. The series is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.
“It’s based on oil speculators and what they called landmen, which are the guys that run around and try to acquire mineral rights and land rights in the hope of speculating and finding oil,” Hamm said this week. “There’s a lot of oil under the ground here in Texas and they are constantly trying to find it.”
In an upcoming project, actor Jon Hamm will play the role of Monty Miller – a prominent figure in the Texas oil industry who shares a long-standing personal and professional relationship with the character of Tommy Norris, portrayed by Billy Bob Thornton. Also joining the cast is actress Demi Moore who will take on the role of Cami, the wife of another powerful oil tycoon in Texas and a friend of Norris.
Describing the project, Hamm praised the story for its excellent narrative and its unique perspective on the vital role played by oil in our everyday lives. He remarked, “It’s a story very well told, and I think it’s an interesting take on what happens when it comes to how we get the stuff that makes our cars and our lives and our planes and everything in our modern world go.”
Hamm also had nothing but good words for his co-stars, expressing his excitement to work alongside Thornton and Moore, both of whom he regards as immensely talented actors. He said, “It’s got Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, so it’s a tremendous cast and it’s been super fun to work on.”
