Netflix has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming film “Woman of the Hour,” which marks the directorial debut of Anna Kendrick. The movie is set in 1970s Los Angeles and tells the story of an aspiring actress, played by Kendrick, whose life intersects with that of a serial killer, portrayed by Daniel Zovatto, during a yearslong murder spree.
The two characters find themselves cast on an episode of “The Dating Game,” leading to a stranger-than-fiction narrative. The film is based on the real-life story of Rodney Alcala, also known as “The Dating Game Killer.”
In addition to Kendrick and Zovatto, the movie also stars Nicolette Robinson and Tony Hale.
