Dwayne Johnson has expressed his regret for not reconciling with his father before he passed away.

In a recent Instagram post, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed one of his deepest regrets. The actor shared a heartwarming video of his father, Rocky Johnson, accepting a WWE belt for his incredible achievement in pro-wrestling history. The moment took place in 1983 when Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas became the first-ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. In the post, a young Dwayne Johnson can be seen sitting in the audience, looking on with pride and joy as he celebrates his father’s historic win. The video is a touching tribute to Rocky Johnson and his legacy in the world of professional wrestling, as well as a poignant reminder of the importance of family and the power of perseverance.

“Just delivering flowers to heaven to my old man, Rocky ‘Soulman’ Johnson,” the former wrestler began his lengthy caption. “He came up the hard way, and trail-blazed for all of us men of color – in any sport & level of entertainment. But it was also very important to him to pave the way for all men, any color – it didn’t matter.”

He continued, “My regret in this life is that I never had a chance to say goodbye to him, because he died suddenly. I regret not reconciling our complicated father/son shit before I lost him. Raised me with tough fatherly love and an even tougher hand. The more I live life, the more grateful I am for it. See you down the road, Soulman.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the famous former wrestler, has been open about his feelings of regret concerning his relationship with his father, who passed away in 2020. Despite being a public figure, Johnson has shared intimate details about his personal life, including the fact that he and his father had an argument just a month before his father’s unexpected death. The actor took to social media on Father’s Day last year to express his emotions, stating that he never got the chance to make amends with his dad before he passed away. This heartfelt message was a reminder for everyone to cherish their loved ones and not take them for granted.

“To my guys out there, if your old man is still around – consider it a blessing,” he wrote last summer. “Even if you and your dad are working thru some complicated shit. I’ve been there and I understand. But do your best to reconcile and get that drama behind you and get right with your dad.”
